It's true- we are making converts of some of the most died in the wool users of other brands with the Sampson groups, and a lot of the reason has to do with the great feel and function of our shifters. We call it Intuishift™ ergonomics, for some of the fastest, easiest shifting that you will experience.

The biggest advantage of Intuishift is that it lets you focus on your ride, not operating your shifter. With Sampson shifters, the brake lever only operates the brakes. To go to an easier cog simply give the big paddle a push toward the front wheel. For crit corners, those big off-camber horseshoe turns, or a steep cycle-cross hill, it's just push and go!

You can shift up 1, 2 or 3 cogs at a time-and getting two full pushes for 6 cogs can be done in a little over a second!
When it is hammer time, depress the upper button, and you instantly go to a higher (smaller rear cog) gear. Again, Intuishift gives you big advantages: By being located at the top of the lever, the shorter throw to actuate a shift is a physically much faster motion than pushing the long lever of our competition. Another advantage is that when you are in a sprint or standing climb, you can simply pop a shift off by sliding your knuckle under the shift tab without moving your hands and disrupting your rhythm! A third major advantage is you don't have to pay close attention to how far you are pushing levers-no thinking did I push it once or twice? The shift for the left hand is the same, with the top button functioning as the trim stop on double shifter styles, or simply shifting 3 rings on the triple style.

Bicycling, VeloNews, Cyclingnews.com, Triathlete and other publications have been writing with gusto about Sampson's new equipment, with more road tests to come.
